It is said that no one is a prophet in his own land and, maybe, that is why, we need people like Cristina Heeren in Spain to protect and promote our fantastic art called Flamenco.
She has been in Seville for more than 20 years putting her own money to create and maintain a Flamenco school, that helps young and not so young people to learn about singing, dancing or playing Flamenco guitar. Many of them are now making a living out of this. Names like: Rocío Marquez, Argentina, India Martinez, Manuel Lombo or Raúl Cantizano, among others, are spreading the word of this art around the world.
Thank you Mrs Heeren.
